Brief Resort Overview: Les 2 Alpes is located at approximately 1600m above sea level in the Oisans Mountains approximately 50 miles East of Grenoble. This modern resort is set on a plateau with lifts going up from both sides. The resort is famous for its vibrant nightlife. From the top of the glacier it is possible to ski over to La Grave the famous back country skiing resort (a small supplement applies to the ski pass). The resort is also located on the edge of the Ecrins National Park in France. You can go snowshoeing into the park from near the village. Up high on the mountain there is a large glacier ski area which aside from offering summer skiing offers a snow sure area to ski during the early season or when snow conditions are poor at lower altitudes.

Principal advantages of the resort: The main resort to go to the resort is to enjoy the nightlife. The skiing is well maintained especially up high towards the glacier. There are numerous bars and café to have lunch on the mountain or in town. The skiing in La Grave can be excellent and the resort has some unique out-of-bounds skiing The other main reason is that the resort offers the most affordable four-star ski resort lodging in the French Alps.
